The new body of Land Rover Discovery Sport 2022 moved to the Renger Rover Rover Rover Rover's second-generation. It is called Premium Transverse Architecture or abbreviated PTA and presents the result of the deep upgrade of the former “cart” EUCD, developed yet in conjunction with Ford.
The new platform increased the stiffness of the structure by 13%, and also allowed Ion-lithium batteries on the car to create hybrid versions. The transition to another chassis, among other things, has ensured the reduction of noise and the level of vibration. Road clearance increased to 212 mm – now Discovery Sports can overcome brody depth to 600 mm.
In addition, the engine was detached by the increased fuel tank – now it accommodates 65 liters, due to which the reserve of the stroke rose. In this case, the dimensions of the machine have not changed strongly: the length is 4,597 mm, the width is 2 173, the height is 1,727, the size of the wheelbase is 2 741.
For the European market, a new discovery sport was equipped with a soft hybrid, providing for a 48-volt starter generator, which interacts with the crankshaft (connected by belt transmission) and providing additional power of the motor during a speed set.
To us, the updated Land Rover Discovery Sport 2022 comes with two-liter diesel and gasoline engines. The first is proposed in power options at 150 and 180 hp, and the second is 200 and 249 forces. Everyone puts four-wheel drive and nine-sample automatic.

The appearance of the compact crossover has not changed much. On the Discovery Sport central panel there are multifunctional regulators. With their help, the temperature in the cabin is changing, the Terrain Response 2 system mode is installed (adapts the car to off-road).
There is a shelf for a smartphone – it makes a convenient wireless charging of gadgets, and all rows are equipped with USB connectors. In general, the interior of the commander of the crown organically: this composition looks good and provides comfortable control.
The finish is at the premium level, and this also applies to the quality of materials and the assembly. In particular, an environmentally friendly suede is available, which is obtained as a result of polyester processing. Representatives of Land Rover say that the material is soft, lightweight and resistant to ruptures.
